Born visually impaired, Sayamma is unmarried, lost her mother at birth and her father remarried and left Sayamma at her grandparents’ home. Her aunt looks after her and she is not able to do field work. Besides she is also suffering from health ailments.

She has been targeted under Ultra Poor Program along with other 4 ultra poor women in her village under uniform selection process. Participatory Livelihoods Action Plans led her to purchase one goat. With the transformative livelihood support interventions, now Sayamma feels confident and need not depend on others , moving into self help trajectory to move on further.

No doubt we call her fast climber!
